Well, before she was famous for the book anyway. I was also one of the fortuante few to have (and read) the book before it was published! My name is Tony Carter, and she was at the time in Avenue Q at the Wynn in Las Vegas. I had the IMMENSE honor of having her come to my school to talk about the book AND do a musical theatre workshop with me.
I'm also here to testify that the person you read about in the book, is the person she really is! She's one of the most amazing, talented, nice, humble, happy people you'll ever meet. (and her daughter is adorable).
I love Sharon Wheatley, and hope she'll remember me, even though she's now so much MORE famous!!!
